Newark has some of the oldest housing stock in Licking County, and it shows in the driveways and walkways we get called out to repair — a lot of them were poured decades ago with a thinner base than we'd use today. We also work in the newer subdivisions on the city's outskirts, where the base work is typically better but drainage grading around new construction can still cause standing water against a driveway edge if it wasn't planned correctly.
