Get Free EstimateStamped concrete is poured and finished like standard concrete, then a textured stamp mat is pressed into the surface while it's still workable to create a stone, slate, cobblestone, or brick pattern. Color comes from either an integral pigment mixed into the concrete before the pour, or a color-hardener and release agent applied at the surface for more depth and variation.
The appeal for a lot of Licking County homeowners, especially in older neighborhoods with existing brick or stone character like downtown Granville, is getting that look without the long-term maintenance that comes with paver joints — no polymeric sand to replace, no individual pavers shifting or settling unevenly over time.
"When customers ask us if stamped concrete is worth the extra cost over plain broom finish, we tell them it depends on how visible the area is. A stamped front walkway or patio that people actually see and use gets a lot of value from the upgrade. A stamped driveway on a long rural lot that's mostly seen from a distance is a bigger investment for less visual payoff — sometimes exposed aggregate is the better middle ground."
Stamped concrete is a finish option that applies across several of our services. Here's where else it comes into play.
